Producing arrow speeds in excess of 285 FPS, the 150 pound Vixen II is a high performance crossbow manufactured specifically to fulfill the needs of smaller framed hunters, but with no compromise of quality or durability. The Vixen II’s short, light draw and reduced length of pull make it the perfect choice for youth, ladies, or hunters of lesser stature, but don’t be fooled, it still delivers plenty of power, even for North America’s largest game! The Vixen II comes decorated in “Realtree HardwoodsTM” camouflage using the “Kolorfusion” process for amazing contrast and detail, is drilled and tapped to receive our scope and quiver mounts, and features quick detach sling studs.
 
The Vixen’s shorter, lighter draw and compact size make it a perfect choice for hunters of lesser stature or physical strength while still delivering plenty of power for even the largest of game. All excaliburs' are equipped with their industry leading 3 lb. pull trigger.
The Vixen II is a scaled down version ideally suited for smaller framed persons. It is light and easy to manoeuvre and very simple to target quickly. It was the quality of their trigger assemblies that help launch Excalibur back in 1983 and the only changes they have made since than is to make them even better.

The simplicity of design of Excalibur’s Vixen is very impressive. This is definitely a case of where less is better. Because of the recurve design you would have no trouble changing a bowstring in the field, something that would be impossible with a compound.
