Parker Compound Bows, Inc. is one of the largest producers of compound bows and crossbows in the world. The original company was founded in 1984 by Robert (Bob) Errett, who remains today as President of the Company. Bob is a West Virginia native who began his archery career in 1975 with Bear Archery Company in Grayling, Michigan. During this period, Bob Errett was both an employee and friend of the legendary Fred Bear. For 10 years that relationship included an annual week at Fred Bear's hunting camp in northern Michigan. It is obvious that Fred Bear was a huge influence on Bob Errett and Parker's attention to quality and customer satisfaction.

In 1984, Bob left Bear Archery with the intention of starting his own company. The new company was Nationwide Archery, the forerunner of Parker. Nationwide grew rapidly to become a major archery supplier and arrow manufacturer, serving hundreds of archery dealers over the next 17 years.

In 1996, the company's major attention was focused toward the manufacture of compound bows and by 2003 Nationwide Archery was merged into Parker. Today, over 1,200 retail outlets sell Parker Bows, with 25 salesmen covering the entire United States and Canada.

In 2002, recognizing the potential of crossbow seasons over the U.S. and Canada, Parker began developing a new line of crossbows. Parker's designs feature lighter weight, better balanced crossbows that include the technology of high performance compound bows. The resulting crossbows are revolutionary and have moved Parker near the top in crossbow sales. In 2008, Parker's new Cyclone set the standard for the future design of all crossbows.

Parker has been honored two years running as "The Fastest Growing Manufacturer in Virginia," by Virginia Business Magazine. As well, in two separate years Parker was honored by INC Magazine as the 300th and 231st fastest growing companies in America. Very few companies receive these honors twice.

In 2007, Parker continued to grow requiring an additional expansion --- the third expansion in 10 years. The company is closely managed and operated ensuring continued high quality, attention to detail, unsurpassed customer service --- all combined to create the finest hunting bows in the World.
