7 Important Points to consider

When buying a crossbow

1.Can I speak to someone?

Before spending a lot of money on a crossbow it would be wise to make sure it was right for you. It is very easy to spend more than you need to and order a crossbow unsuitable for your purpose. We have freephone number and we welcome enquiries and are more than happy to advise and make sure you get the crossbow to suit you. Be very careful of an online crossbow shop with no number or a mobile number should anything go wrong you will have a hard time sorting it out.

2.Who makes my crossbow?

There are many cheap poor quality crossbows available on the internet which can be dangerous. If you buy a cheap budget crossbow it could fire on it’s own and seriously injure or kill someone. We only supply crossbows from major crossbow suppliers such as Barnett, Horton, Armex and Excalibur & high quality budget crossbows from Armex & KASU.

3.Where does my crossbow come from?

With some other websites you order and then your crossbow is imported from the US or Asia which can take weeks. We have all of our crossbows in stock and will take no less than 48 hours to arrive to your home. If your crossbow is sent to you from outside of the UK you will be liable to duty and v.a.t. (up to 50% of the value of your crossbow) if the delivery is stopped by UK customs. If the crossbow does not conform to UK specifications it will be seized.

4.What happens if Iam not happy?

If your crossbow is faulty or does not arrive what do you do? If the online crossbow shop you bought it from does not have a tel no you are going to have difficulty obtaining a replacement or refund. If your crossbow has been sent to you from Asia you are very unlikely to receive a replacement. We have a 12 month warranty, if the product is faulty simply return it to us and we will send you a replacement.

5.How reliable is the supplier?

It is important to buy your crossbow from a reliable crossbow supplier, is the crossbow website you are using professional or just an extension to their ebay business? We have been trading in crossbows for over 5 years with many very satisfied customers, we do not sell items on ebay.

6. Is the website professional?

Simple things give away poor websites like spelling and grammar. If the crossbow website looks unprofessional then it is very likely that the service will be the same. It is likely that they are an ebay trader who has set up a crossbow website and probably runs the site part time.

7. Do they specialise?

If the website sells everything from knives to clothing then it is safe to say that they do not specialise in any one item. We specialise in crossbows & archery bows & equipment.
