My friend reccommeded that I look at a barnett compound crossbow with a 150 pound prod and the heaviest string I can cock.

I had a quick look at the barnett crossbows but I didnt see compound as part of the description. I am also interested in the ease of re-stringing as I know from other gear it is much cheaper and quicker if a repair job can be done at home without having to send equipment away.

Could you tell me what models fit this rather vague requirement?

Is there a simple way I can determine what my cocking strength is or would I need to pop along to a local club to get measured?

They also mentioned broadheads, are these slower or less accurate or is there little difference from a standard bolt?
