Stuff for old bow

Hi,

I have just found an old crossbow out of the garage which I hadn't seen in 20 years! It is a Barnett Trident pistol bow (75lbs). It was purchased directly from Barnett in Wolverhampton in about 1985. I would like to try it out again but unfortunately I don't have any bolts nor a string for it. I'm not sure how it differs from the Trident 2. I only live about half mile from Barnett's factory in Wolverhampton but I went there last week and it appears to be gone!

Please can someone give me some advice on:

a) Will it still be okay to draw / safe to shoot?

b) What size string do I need?

c) What size bolts do I need?

Any help would be great.

Thanks.

Re: Stuff for old bow

You can get replacement strings made but you would need to know the size of the original, this could be done with some internet searches. Bolts are easy to come by.
